Welcome to the Pre-95 website
Martyn
Pre '95 125 GP Series
You may remember the series organised by Martyn Lodge that was run up until the end of the 1995 season; a good deal of effort by Martyn resulted in some good attendances and some excellent racing from well known campaigners like Tony Flinton and Jason Dobson. Tony Flinton finally lifted the end of season cup and prize money.
We’re aiming to get the series off the ground again in 2008 and have interest from a good number of potential competitors. We’ve tried to select meetings and circuits where we can hopefully make up a full grid of 125’s combining with modern 125’s and get a split start.
Our main sponsor, Bike Sport News will be following our progress very closely.
Obtaining sponsorship for prize money isn’t easy. We do have a pot of funds donated by sponsors and the way it’s looking at the moment it will be used for end of season championship positions.
Pre-95 is not a club, just an association of like minded individuals with the same objective; promoting pre-95 125cc GP bike racing. There’s no membership fee other than those required by the clubs organising the meetings we’ll be attending. If you want to participate in our championship and have a chance at the prize fund, the only requirement is you send a large SAE for a promoters sticker set to be displayed on your bike.
We will be enhancing the web site as the year progresses, adding classifieds, results and any other features and suggestions you may have.
If you’re interested in participating, please e-mail us and let us know.
